Download

Available downloads for all platforms:

Setup

  1. Download Windows AMD64.exe
  2. Run the installer
  3. Follow setup wizard
  4. Launch from Start menu

USB Drivers:

  • Drivers install automatically on most systems
  • If device not recognized, install CH340/CP210x driver
  • Check Device Manager for COM port
  1. Download zerotrace-darwin_amd64.zip
  2. Extract the archive
  3. Move app to Applications folder
  4. Launch ZeroTrace
  1. Download zerotrace-darwin_arm64.zip
  2. Extract the archive
  3. Move app to Applications folder
  4. Launch ZeroTrace

Note: Grant system permissions when prompted

# Make executable
chmod +x ZeroTrace_linux_amd64

# Run
./ZeroTrace_linux_amd64

Optional - Add to dialout group:

sudo usermod -aG dialout $USER
# Log out and back in for changes to take effect

Connect Device

  1. Plug ZeroTrace device into USB port
  2. Launch application
  3. Device auto-appears in device list
  4. Click Connect

First Time Setup

Grant any system permissions requested for USB access.

Troubleshooting

Device not showing?

  • Check USB cable
  • Verify device power
  • Restart app
  • Update chipset drivers

COM Port not detected?

  • Windows: Check Device Manager for unknown devices
  • macOS: System Report > USB
  • Install manufacturer drivers if needed
